What is Day Out With Thomas™?

Day Out With Thomas™ offers an opportunity for children and their families to take a 25 minute ride with Thomas the Tank Engine™  and to meet Sir Topham Hatt™, the Controller of the Railway.   The Imagination Station has lots of Thomas-themed activities including stamps, temporary tattoos, and face painting, and a Thomas storytelling and video viewing area.  York-Durham Heritage Railway will also have live entertainment, a bubble station, ride-on motorbike scooters, hay maze, jumping castles and more. There will be food vendors on-site.


What times do trains depart?

9:00, 9:45, 10:30, 11:15, 12:00, 12:45, 1:30, 2:15, 3:00, 3:45.  It is recommended that guests arrive at the event at least one hour before their scheduled departure. For the 9:00 departure time please arrive at 8:30 am.


How much are tickets?

$25 plus HST + TicketWeb service charge.


Who needs tickets?

Tickets are required for guests ages two and up. All guests under the age of two not occupying a seat do not require a ticket but can ride the train and participate in all activities.
