THEME TRIP - THE STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL TRAINS

The Stouffville Strawberry Festival is a York Region tradition. This year the York-Durham Heritage Railway will again be taking part in Stouffville’s annual Strawberry Festival by operating special Strawberry Festival Trains only on Saturday, July 2nd. Trains will depart from and return to the Stouffville GO station at 6176 Main Street, right in the heart of Stouffville’s Strawberry festivities.

Each train will depart from the Stouffville GO station for a ride north into the picturesque Oak Ridges Moraine and returning to the station approximately 40 minutes later.

Be sure and join us on this leisurely return trip into the beautiful countryside.

PLEASE PURCHASE YOUR TICKET(S) ON JULY 1st AT THE STOUFFVILLE GO TRAIN STATION.

Departures, arrival and fares:

Each train will depart from the Stouffville GO station at 6176 Main Street, in downtown Stouffville at: 11:00 am, 12 noon, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm, and 4:00 pm, and returning about 40 minutes later.

Fares are $10.00 per person for the trip (children under age 1 ride free).

Did You Know?

  • The highest point on the line (1169 ft or 356.3 m above sea level), atop the Oak Ridges Moraine, is 79 meters higher than either Stouffville or Uxbridge stations.
  • There is a railway museum at the Uxbridge Station.
  • Stouffville station is a "Union Station" because it is used by 2 railways (GO Transit and York-Durham Heritage Railway).
